1) Open an SCorp or LLC and go into business for yourself.
2) Contact current and former clients to see if theyre hiring, especially if you developed a good relationship with them. If not currently hiring, pitch yourself as available for part time or full time project work using your SCorp/LLC from item #1 above.
3) Don't hold out waiting for the perfect job or higher compensation after layoff. "Any port in a storm" is better than remaining out of work and burning thru your savings.
4) While pursuing steps 1 thru 3 also reach out to your network contacts, especially others at Big4 or Tier2 firms. Based on what Ive seen here on FB, Deloitte, KPMG, and Accenture all appear to be actively hiring for certain skillets.
Why is an S Corp or LLC necessary? Why can’t u just do a sole prop

If necessary, would also recommend cutting your expenses wherever possible. If you own a home, can you rent it out and downsize, or rent a room or storage space? Look into moving abroad to reduce expenses as well if it’s feasible.
