Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

By the grace of god you have a chance to get out of audit. Take it and never look back
Very much this. You’ve been working IA right? When you inspect financial analyst workbooks they do some pretty neat stuff. I’d much rather do the cool stuff rather than leaving my trail of tick marks over the work.
Yeah why is this even a question. Take it!! Internal audit blows

Depends what your current outlook is for your IA role. If you enjoy what you do I don’t see why would leave. But if you’re looking for an exit then run for it.
Internal audit is one of the worst "accounting" careers. This is an awesome opportunity for you. I'd take it.
Do what you enjoy and don’t follow what others believe is “the worst”. Do you think you’ll enjoy the new role more? If so, ask for more details about what your responsibilities would be and make the decision based on that.
My entire career has been internal audit. Take it.

Do it
You hit the jackpot. Get the eff out of internal audit while you can.
