FYI black cod and cod are different fish so they will cook and taste differently even with the same recipe. If you’re using regular cod, your recipe will need more fat content to get a similar flavor. Made this same mistake the first time I made this recipe.
The marinade itself is fine, but I would let it soak for 2 days and then air chill on a rack in the fridge for a few hours to firm up a bit before cooking. A full 3 days in the marinade will make it mushy. The air chill in the fridge will prevent the fish from falling apart
I would also pan sear in high fat butter like European style then baste before putting it in the broiler if you’re using regular cod. The higher fat will give it a richer flavor

I'm gonna be honest I do not like the texture of cod at all. Every other fish I can eat except for cod. Every time I have tried eating it I start gagging lol. I may have to try this recipe with a different protein though because it does sound really good.
