What is the TC for a client delivery mgr at BCG?
Thinking about accepting a software engineering offer for BCG Digital Ventures . can anyone working there tell me about the work culture, learning opportunities, and exit opps . Im also interviewing with Zillow and am deciding wether to wait or take an offer. I’m really intrigued by the idea of building ventures and learning alot on the technical and entrepreneurial sides, but the opportunity to work for a tech unicorn is also very intriguing

I have never heard of a company doing a background check before an offer is given.
Neither have I thats why Im confused, after my first interview they contacted my past employers and did the 3rd party background check and ive been waiting to schedule my next interview since then.
You sure you submitted your social to Deloitte and you're really working with Deloitte? Lots of employment scams out there. Confirm your interviewers ACTUALLY work at Deloitte (you can DM me names and I'll check).
Yes I have already confirmed this with someone who is currently at Deloitte. The background check was done by First Advantage who I also double checked.
Yeah that's odd, they shouldn't do a background check without an offer in place. Which country did you apply for?
US
Agree with the above comments - never had background check until all interviews and until after offer was extended.
one time, I was asked to approve a background check request up-front by a known consulting company - before any interviews with customer. I thought even that was odd. But then I asked them why. They said that the client requires them up-front to register the candidate in their system. But they don’t actually do the background check until after offer. But they need my approval to do it upfront. That is ok if that is what they are asking.
Also, be aware of scams as mentioned above. Call the person directly and give social security or confidential information to the right person up-front.
Some background check people take long time. One employer had contracted an outside company which was taking too long. I called the employer - they said — ask the background check 3rd party company directly - so I called them - they said the reason is because they contacted my previous employer and still waiting back for their response to confirm I worked there. But if I can provide them some proof they can verify - I did and the background check was approved. So, sometimes they are willing to accept manual proof if they are waiting on this kind of information - you just have to call them and ask - what are you waiting on.
Are you in NYC? New laws there requiring certain things to be done before an offer is made.
