McKinsey & Company I did my final round with McKinsey today, and I I received a rejection call from the partner today. However, he said I did really great and wants to keep in touch with me. He also mentioned that I should reapply in 6 months. Does anyone have any similar experience? Do I have a better chance if I reapply next time?McKinsey & Company

And the miscommunication among them. I was hired and accepted an offer letter with a starting date. Made them fully aware, I need 10 days notice for my former employer and it was specified that I don't hand in my resignation until checks have been clear. No word from anyone and when contact the GM on her personal cell, I was told I have to start this Thursday which is earlier than the start date mentioned in the letter.

It’s just insane to me. How do recruiters not write down important things like that or just follow up after an interview

I was rejected after scheduling a final round but never actually having the interview itself, and the recruiter offered to explain the reason, so when I accepted his offer to talk, he ghosted me

......this delay is more than not caused by the hiring manager & leadership.

Thanks for letting us know that recruiters aren’t effective at their jobs.

We are the product. They don't owe us anything.

Idk about that. A simple rejection email or something is better than leaving someone hanging

Most of the ones I work with, are overworked. They each have 150+ jobs they are filling at once, juggling hiring managers, interviews, screening, and scheduling. They are considered overhead cost, so it can take awhile to add to their headcount and meet demand. It’s a hard job, and I don’t envy them.

I’m sorry but recruiters have it kinda easy. They have a whole system to reject people and if you can’t even do that then they are just lazy.
Leaving people hanging just shows how bad they are at their job and sometimes goes to reflect on the company.
