How is PTO truly unlimited if leaders are notified when people take too much (whatever that means) PTO and will tell employees to not take more PTO? Isn’t that just limited PTO except instead of it being documented it’s just up to whether your leadership thinks you’ve been taking too much PTO and/or if they like you?

Medicus Firm, good or bad company to work for?
I recently got an offer from The Medicus firm that is much better than my current physician recruiter role for many reasons (plus 15k to base salary, PTO structure, remote only, better commission structure). I really dislike my current company mainly because of how upper management treats the recruiting team. I have only been in my current role 7 months but I am wondering if it is worth it to make the switch? And how is Medicus reputation is?

Need advice on pet issue…have a 15 y/o Morkie and 7 y/o Yorkie…both female and spayed about 5lbs each. Have had the older dog from a pup and rescued the Yorkie about 5 yrs ago. Took a year (and me to go on a 2 week vacation and left them with my husband) for them to co-exist without killing each other. I just found out the lead account director at our Brand’s partner agency is someone who I worked with years ago, and we did not part on good terms . Obviously, time has gone by, I’ve grown and I’m sure (and hope) she has as well... she was conniving and a brown noser and it really rubbed me the wrong way, and is likely why we did not get along well... how should I go about managing this?
Renegotiating after accepting an offer? My current employer has updated their offer to retain me well above the offer I accepted at my new employer. Previously they had only matched the new offer, which I declined. Would it be inappropriate to approach my new employer to match the offer? It’s 12 days before start date at new employer.

Inequality is not gonna be fixed by agencies overnight. Agencies still need qualification, and unfortunately that is still unequal as well.
We need to hire POC right now. Promote them. Give them important roles.
That’s just one step.
The biggest step is fighting for equal qualification. While we keep the bias out, we need to make sure we are helping young POC to have access to tools and training.
That will give agencies a much larger database to hire diversity and fix the problem.
Do folks reach out to an agency recruiter directly via LinkedIn if they know who it is? Or is that taboo and you should stick to the submission system and they’ll reach out on their terms?
Any recommendations on places to share summer internship opportunities? Hoping to reach more BIPOC junior/senior college students. I’ve already reached out to personal networks but would love to keep spreading word.
