That's tricky. I would try to do volunteer work if I were you so that you could give yourself experience on the way to landing a full-time job. I think that'd also help with learning how things work in the US healthcare system as well
Try Fresenius medical care for hemodialysis and they have on site training
Nursing facilities seen the most desperate I would try them
I am a dialysis nurse and we need more dialysis nurses. Like someone said on here, fresenius will give you enough time for training. A good place to start.
Hello, I am also a foreign nurse living in the United States. I would also like to have my work license. Can someone tell me how they did it? I will thank you. God bless you..
Contact your state's rn board and request the paperwork. You will have to obtain your transcript of your education from your school and have your school send it to the board directly. Once the board has your original transcript they will direct you what to do next.
Hi I am a foreign RN also and I started as a new grad. It’s a down side but is the best choice.
Where did u start?
I moved here 2 yrs ago been a nurse 18 yrs Neuro,Trauma ,cardiovascular u name it ive done it had 5 jobs in these 2 yrs last job 12.5 yrs I get pushed out cause I'm to smart and know policies procedures was a charge nurse in a trauma ICU this state pats the least regardless background exp I plan on moving outta here. I def feel the same as u
Have you tried looking into a Nurse Residency most large academic hospitals have them. They are typically for new grads or someone that has been out of the field for a while but I think your situation would apply too. The one at the hospital I work at is 12 months they do half in the classroom learning all the skills and rules and regs ect and the other half on the floor assigned to a floor nurse.
Find a new grad program. It's your best bet unless you care to work in nursing homes. The job market is very bad at this time even for experienced nurses. Good luck!
Check out Elite 365!!
Thank you but I am living in Florida
What country are you from? Try nursing facilities.
Colombia
It’s okay, find a private facility or office and get along with the hiring manager and you’ll get hired even without a legal license and being foreign like where I work LOL good luck apparently it is more common than you think.
Go to Vanderbilt or go to an assisted living and work as a nurse there
Not sure where you are, geographically, but try Prime Healthcare. They have locations throughout the U.S. and hire a lot of foreign staff.
Try to keep your head up and stay encouraged. Just keep applying to places, and eventually you will be blessed with an opportunity. Don’t give up. It always takes time to get a job as a new nurse without experience. Yet, believe me, there are many jobs out here. Just keep applying.
Your words fullfill me. Thank you
Como puedo obtener mi licencia también soy medico foráneo
Idk which stats you live in but here is an opportunity

Try clinical trials research. Learn a new skill and still get to provide RN level scope. Duke is always looking for Clinical Research Nurse Coordinators (CRNC).
What kind of experience do you have and where do you live?
