Note: I will say there were some moments throughout the process where the recruiter was delayed and all interviews went well, so I otherwise think I was very competitive. Too afraid to get my hopes up 🥴
I don't think I'd leap to that conclusion just yet. There are plenty of reasons (legitimate or not) for this to have been delayed, especially with yesterday being a holiday. If you don't hear back by the end of the week, maybe there's something there, but I wouldn't be losing hope just yet.
I doubt they get the holiday off in my industry, but even so, that is a possibility so valid point
Since there was a holiday this week, I’d give it a few more days.
I have approached this in two ways one go back to recruiter. Let them know you’re looking at another job, which will force them to make a decision, maybe the law of scarcity will kick in. The other choice email interviewer, maybe highlight with more detail some of your strengths maybe this will push you ahead of the other candidates.
I thought about saying I have another offer..but sometimes they do just say: ‘oh go ahead and take it. Don’t wait on us’. So it could backfire.
Well, I was right. Gut feelings are something else 🤷♀️ On to the next one!
