I have a similar story. What helps me the most is simply to always keep it all in perspective. I remember to appreciate that my job, compared to most, is sometimes fun, pays well, and scratches a creative itch....but I never forget it means nothing compared to my family and outside life and I always set boundaries and never work too hard....and if they have a problem with it they can go ahead and fire me.
Honestly, this is why I freelance.
I spent my 20's hungry to be "ad famous" and winning some Cannes and One Show stuff. It kept me hungry and I was very ambitious and driven. I was also tired of the sprint and was slowly getting frustrated with the industry.
Cut to what, 6 years later. I switched coasts and hopped into the freelance scene for piece of mind. I still make things and I honestly get paid much more to do it. More free time to do what I want and to relax with my family and take vacations.
At the end of the day, no one (other than this small fishbowl group) cares what list or award you have or what account you're on. They care about what time you want to meet for dinner and if you want to meet up in Hawaii later this summer. So...B?
Wise reply. Especially that last bit.
D) no one cares about your lions
Guess what.., you DIDNT WIN THEM! They’re bought by the holding companies to make clients/brands happy
No news here. But they helped me to be hired, promoted and get a fat paycheck.

D) Please use the knowledge gained in that career time to help juniors. There are a lot of motivated people starting out. :)
I wish we pushed for cool work because it’s cool, not to win awards. Always hated the awards culture.
At Anomaly I made cool work without them worrying about awards. For a few years there it was just lovely

I’d say B, but that’s so cliche.
B.)
But still freelance when the waves die down. All the fun. None of the politics.
B, but do "consulting" in between surf days

Do earning the awards feel as good as I imagine?!
I’ve got 1k as a bonus once, for the award. And had to pay taxes over it.
What about any other options? Do you have another passion other than advertising you want to pursue? Maybe opening up a shop yourself?
B
All of the above.

Wanna trade? I started my Jr career during Covid, so I’d love to be in your spot.
