I have a bachelor's degree in accounting. I've been working out of school for 2 years in private. I work 40-60 hours around month end. All my higher-ups with MBAs & CPAs work 40-60 hours.

My brother has a batchlors in software engineer and works 40 hours max. Has work from home options and makes 4x my salary.

I don't want to be in my 30s making 120k-200k and slaving my life away.

Any advice on knowledge/schooling should I persue to switch fields into something more financially rewarding?

I have 6+ years of experience, wanted to switch to other organisations as I am not feeling comfortable,this is 5 th company

Can anyone recommend me insightful books which can help consulting/career but not with titles like “how to be a successful manager” etc.

I started working as a consultant with EY 8 months ago. Even though I'm content and learning a lot there, I think there are places where I might easily earn more money. I received a job offer last week from Alvarez & Marsal to work as a consultant at the Transaction Advisory Department (financial due diligence team), where I will be paid more fairly (salary & bonus). My first switch took me to 9LPA from 6LPA and now the second switch is being offered for 11.5LPA where I can see my fellow friends in SAP having more than 15LPA at the same experience on their second switch itself. Should I be worried about my skillset? Any insights would highly be appreciated. I feel stuck.
