CISSP is significantly less costly than a masters. Also IMO a master in cybersecurity is too broad for the types of jobs you are hoping to get, and may not be worth the squeeze.
Get your company to pay for your certs!!! Any company worth its salt should be funding your certs
No not worth it for masters. Go for certs.
CISSP is great and I just got mine last year but it’s important to remember this is not a technical cert. If you are going GRC work, aka more procedural/policy based stuff and not hands on keyboard, CISSP will be great for you. If you are looking to get more technical, the CISSP is NOT for you.
So it can be valuable for a hands-on aka technical people to have a CISSP, but if you are not hands-on/technical currently, the CISSP will not help you become that. That is what I’m saying
My company pays for masters and certs every year we get a budget we can use towards education so I am going for both now
Get both.
Is DePaul a good cybersecurity grc masters program?
I mean I want to get a masters but do it in person and I am in Chicago … that’s all that is available here or Illinois institute of technology also has cybersecurity then northwestern has IT management masters with cyber minor .. that’s all my options here for in person
