Didn’t have as long a flight but was solo with two kiddos their car seats and a connection. Have something with wheels to transport these was the only way.
Second coming prepared to speak about your seat and knowing what’s allowed. I had a number of terse conversations with gate agents about whether the kids could sit in the seats for the flight. Won out on the end because I knew the rules.
Get a lighter travel seat like the Cosco Scenera

Second. We use a GoGo baby. Make sure your car seat has the FAA approval on the sticker. We were asked once and had to go through a whole thing to show the model was FAA approved before being allowed to put in in a seat.
Flew to Europe with a 14 months old. Got the cheap Cosco car seat ($50) and used bungee cords to clamp it onto my rollaboard. Worked like a charm!
