I have a new opportunity with a staff to contract type small consulting firm. I am currently with a mid size firm where I am very underpaid. The new opportunity is offering almost 40% more in salary. I love my current firm and team/project despite being underpaid and not valued for all I bring to the table (education, experience, etc). Lots of pros and cons. Are there any cons with going to a very small firm? Others experience or thoughts here? Thank you for the advice!

Is it ok to work for 5.5L annual package with 3 years of ITSM experience.

3 YOE in Marketing through internships in college, followed by 2 years Financial Operations/Data Tools full-time. I got an offer for $75K at TekSystems for a Market Analyst role. I gave them a range of $70-75K, so they gave the max. But I am questioning asking for a bit more given insurance is apparently on the higher-end and I want to ensure I didn't low-ball myself.

Just to note, this is about a 25% increase compared to what I am currently making.

PWC offered 23+2JB+2(assuming bonus at 10%) for 5yoe. And I'm getting 27-28 from other service based companies. However I'm confused if I should go higher fixed ctc or brand name, ie PWC. Thoughts?

One suggestion, we had new team build 2 years back. All persons have left , only I am left with current project. even I resigned in Dec but got retained.

What is a average yearly raise? My company claims they only do a 1-5% raise per year. I won’t even be able to catch up with this year’s inflation. Is it crazy to ask for a 20% increase?

How much is the variable pay out for L9 employee if max of 27% is 450000, how much can we expect.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
