Research and relate. I can’t tell you how often I’ve interviewed candidates, but only get impressed by someone who came to the interview well researched on the company, relating to the hiring managers/interviewees and their backgrounds, and asked informed questions. That, doesn’t require a deep resume — but shows solid commitment and a passion towards getting that job.
This is very helpful. thank you!
Find ways to demonstrate your passion for the industry and sector you work in. Even if it’s something you haven’t worked on yourself or have experience in. Being a student of the industry will make an impact. It’s also a good idea to state you’re interested in the company and position — you don’t have to play it cool; enthusiasm goes along way. You got this!
