Have you considered teaching? Or are you trying to get out of it all together?
I actually just graduated from my undergrad this past May, so I don’t necessarily have people to speak for in terms of colleagues. However I did take some a la carte online classes with Denver Ad School and AdHouse NYC.
I also do know that a lot of schools, colleges and universities, are opening up to teachers being 100% remote - someone with your experience I think could bring a lot of value to the classroom, I found the further my teachers were from current practicing professionals, the less I learned.
If you have any other questions let me know :)
My husband works in finance and is struggling with bipolarity and ADHD. Ain’t easy. Sending you good vibes.
Back at you!
Also living/working with bipolar for 18 years.
It’s exhausting to keep it under wraps but have found sharing isn’t respected or accepted the one time I disclosed it.
I also teach but teaching won’t replace an agency gig unless you have a PHD and can land at a major university tenure track role. Teaching helps keep me sane as it is super rewarding. But I just adjunct occasionally.
Consulting could work have done it in the past to fill gaps.
Have you looked at We Are Rosie, hearing great things for freelancing and setting your schedule.
Good luck to you. Stay strong and take care of yourself first.
Thanks for the thoughtful response. 💪
I was mid twenties and felt like this. I ended up switching careers to something much less demanding. It was related, but not advertising. I ended up keeping my pay intact.
