I have made more connections with students this year than ever before. I think kids are at a point that they realize they need a solid. I stay consistent, don't bounce around with my rules, don't play favorites with my students, and stay in my lane. I try to keep my lessons engaging and interactive, and we have real world scenarios. I am pretty strict with expectations and consequences, but give rewards and bonuses for good behavior. How do you make connections with students and parents?

I genuinely feel like I’m at rock bottom, Idk if I’m crazy to feel that way bc of a dog but I used to be able to control this and put up a front but now my depression and anxiety are starting to leak into my work conversations completely unintentionally, I wish this would stop :(
