I hear exit opportunities are narrowing for consulting firms, and not just with tech.

How does that seem to be affecting life at consulting firms? Lower offers, word of lower raises, and/or more involuntary attrition? Easier to find tech talent?

I am actively looking to transition into a tech company. I’ve worked in campus recruitment for 2 years at a construction company. I am open to any advice.

I’d prefer a remote position. I am willing to take on training or classes to become a better recruiter.

In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position. Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.

Additionally, while I’ve worked with McKinsey, Accenture, McKesson, and other teams on major projects, I don’t have experience putting together the strategy, more of a support function.
