I just realized my TSA precheck expires next month but I applied to Global entry and only have an interview scheduled for December (no earlier appts). Any other options than just renewing TSA and spending additional money? I have chase sapphire preferred and doesn’t cover the charge.

Are any interview centers / airports taking drop in appointments?

like

Some places will accept walkins even if they don’t advertise it. Worth a try.

See if kpmg will cover the cost of renewal? Might only cover if you fly X amount of times a year.

Just renew and pass the costs to Uncle Peat and Bob’s your uncle.

Your diner’s card from KPMG covers cost of either one once every 4 years, if you haven’t used it 4 years just use that for the renewal. If you’ve got the capital one venture card they also cover an application or renewal fee once every 4 years.

Also, if you’re going out of the country soon you can do a global entry interview upon rentry to the country at certain airports (they have the list online), this is how I got my global entry interview done because interviews were only available like 6 or more months out. Also keep checking the interview availability daily as some people cancel their interviews day of or day before.

Im not really sure how to answer that because I only use it to pay for work related things…

It gives me free precheck or global entry
It gives me access to airport lounges
I get 1 pt for every $ and I can transfer those points to southwest, United or Marriott

So it’s…fine? I don’t know what more I would expect out of a corporate card..

Wait...there are no Global Entry interviews available until December?? Where are you located?

If you’re traveling out of the US (quick trip to Mexico or somewhere) you can do an interview upon arrival. Did it in Atlanta as I couldn’t get an appointment for 8 months and only took 20 min.

Can anyone provide any advice, or has anyone successfully moved away from sales?
