Microsoft is hiring an account executive and I’m really interested in the role. I have B2B sales experience in a different industry, but my skills include lead generation, prospecting, account management, negotiating, etc (all within the C Suite and other decision makers).
Would appreciate knowing if this is something I have a shot at with no tech sales experience and what I could expect for promotional opportunities and compensation.
Thanks for the help!
Especially for companies doing heavy hiring!

I have a possible opportunity at Protiviti. Coming from big4 and wondering if Protiviti has fairly similar perks. I’ve read the 2022 benefits guide and it gave a oddly low PTO count of 16 days. Is this true and what about a holiday disconnect in the December time period? Are there any other hidden perks that are awesome? Already heard WLB is better and the culture, but I feel like I’ve gotta find that out first hand. Protiviti

Getting screwed on a deal just like this was why Edward D Jones left New York and started his own firm.
That’s part of the reason I left EDJ - they didn’t pay a finders fee for municipal issues when I was there (they don’t underwrite anymore is my understanding).
Why don’t you ask your branch manager?
Used to be around 10 bps. But lots has changed since I looked into it last.
I’m not sure that they’re obligated to pay you anything. Do you have anything in writing saying they’re obligated to pay you for this?
I find it hard to believe a firm like Morgan Stanley doesn’t have a structured process of referring business from wealth mgmt to the investment bank. The profit sharing should be very clearly defined in that process. At UBS, we have a team that connects WM to IB, and we would know exactly what the profit share is if we successfully referred business to the IB.
