Wow you got a new job paying you 30k more per year? Amazing!
There is a study comparing the life long earning of EY alumni depending on when they leave. The numbers there are much worse but are averages. I passed a 100% increase after my second year. That was 23 years ago. So personal experience considered too.
Depends on if you were getting promoted or not
🥜%
Two questions, and I'm not being antagonistic. (1) why would you care, and (2) why leave right before promotion?
See 2) above.
I'm curious. Where did you go after leaving Big 4? And what was your salary bump? I'm asking because i would like to leave after promo.
What kind of exit op did you find?
^It is. Also titles don't matter as much as responsibilities which I was able to demonstrate during the interview process.
Lol
Nobody from this group and level posted in the threads (FB or GC)
I was getting promoted.
Around 10-12%
1) curiosity 2) my new salary makes up for the promo bonus so why stay
Cause free 5k
^you still could've gotten that same salary if you waited 2 weeks, thus the "free 5k" comments.
But 10% -12% raise sounds about right for promo.
Bonus payout is October 15 Which is ~6 weeks away. I also started by job a few weeks ago. The difference in salary between the jobs for that period of time was greater than 5k. That's what 2) above means.
Give or take.
