Strategy& folks, how do you truly feel regarding overall happiness with your job? I feel like often times we only see negative opinions on here (people come to vent about being overworked etc) so I’m curious if there are a bunch of happy S& employees out there just keeping more quiet

You weren't hired for your tech skills. You were hired for your ability to learn and solve problems.
OP what specifically are they looking for you to know how to do? If you drop me an email I can help direct you to some of our internal self-guided training that will help you out.
ACN sucks this way. They hire people with specialized skills and then want them to do something else. They want you but then they don't know what to do with you. Came from industry and am in the same boat. Will be looking for a new boat shortly. If you have great tech skills I would head to industry where they will appreciate the specialization.
Not tech, but also did not come from business background and in the same boat over here. Completely understand your frustration

Update! With some help from my CC I did it and I rocked it. Whew. God I hate estimators though. 😅
Note. Already FT on a data conversion project I'm leading. Never got formal consulting process training either because hired for existing skill set. Fml.
In my case, I was hired for my tech skills for a very specific software for a very specific project. I was told if the project fell through that I would not be hired. But I'd be willing to learn if it was offered I just don't get how they expect me to just know it and spit something out. I can't do shoddy half-assed work, it stresses me out.
^^ there are lots of in person training you could do too.
