are you tailoring your resume for each job you apply for? Have you used ATS sites to confirm your resume matches what they are looking for?
Mostly, yes.
And no I haven’t used ATS sites! Didn’t know that was an option. This was very helpful, thank you!
Have you had anyone review your resume? If that's the first thing they see about you maybe there's something missing there.

Outside of applying what are you doing to get noticed?
If you were a hiring manager, what would you want to see in someone trying to break into your field?
Up to this point, I’ve haven’t done anything else besides applying. I’ve always had a referral and haven’t been through this process before.
Not really sure what my options are as far as getting noticed. I’ve heard of people reaching out to hiring managers on LinkedIn but I thought that sounded a bit aggressive. I don’t even know how I would go about finding that information…
Build relationships. If you need help with that, read Dawn Graham's book, Switchers, or Keith Ferrazi's book, Never Eat Alone. If you need further support, feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn. https://www.linkedin.com/in/alanjstein/
