I recently completed a PI behavioral assessment and received an “Adapter” profile. Is this considered a strong fit for an HR Generalist role?

This depends heavily on the particulars of the position, including who you would be reporting to and the other profiles you'd be working with. High quality personality profiles can be very useful for recruiting, personal growth, and troubleshooting conflict, but the usefulness falls off fast when you start reaching for more generalized applications like this. I recommend tools like TTI instead that provide deep insights without giving your overall personality a catchy label that could be misleading.

Absolutely right

I have seen Adapter profiles do well in HR roles. Being flexible and responsive fits the nature of the job. I would not worry too much about the label, how you apply it matters more.

Hi All,

Need some career advice.

I have a year of experience in a clinical ops role where learning is quite stagnant. I’m eagerly looking to transition to good challenging opportunities in life science consulting/analytics and allied domains. Which organisations/startups/roles should one apply to being a non-technical applicant with a masters in biotechnology?

It would be really helpful to get your guidance on further course of action.

TIA!

So someone I know asked HR about a boot policy. When he found out that there wasn’t one, but his boss said there was (who gave the guys $ for boots and the claimed it on his expense reimbursements as something else) the boss got mad at him for askingHR (and in trouble for the expense reimbursements) and then 2 days later laid off my friend. There appears to be no notice of bad performance and this person always was the first person on the job site ready to work. Thoughts?

SVP vs VP in banking.

I'm currently looking at two HRBP roles at two different titles/salary bands. This would at a large banking company located in NYC. Can anyone with banking industry experience share their perspectives and insights on the differentiation between the roles? I take it that VP is more of a junior role and a more commonly-used title. I have a friend that's a VP at JPM and has about the same YOE as me (shes not in HR). I have about 15 YOE but about 10 yrs HR YOE and 3 HRBP YOE.
