McKinsey & Company I had a second round of interview with McK 1 week back but no one got back to me yet.
I only received a link to login to McK website where the status my job application shows “In Progress”.
I am not sure whether it takes so much time for McK to respond after the second round. Is anybody aware of this?

Personally, I wish they'd ask for mine because I have amazing references who would likely put me over the top and help land me a job.
Yes, totally agreed. The process is very disorienting these days. And I also want to be mindful with my references’ time and I don’t want them to be contacted at very early stage
I have been getting asked this more and more as I interview for lateral positions. Not a fan of it personally esp if you are still currently at a firm and don't want them to know you are looking to leave.
Yes. It’s weird for references to be contacted in an early stage
I consider references before I extend the offer but typically after I interview.
Agreed, I am fine to provide references at or close to an offer stage
