I see a lot of posts about McKinsey on here, and not as many about BB. I feel the cultural fits are all different enough to warrant a pretty even distribution of people applying to each. Can anyone provide insight into why there’s so much interest in McKinsey?

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?

I am hearing that MBB is pausing majority of the interviews - should I be worried about my offer getting rescinded? I luckily got my offer a few months ago and received my signing bonus already.
