I showed up to my clients Friday session which is at 3:30pm because it was on my schedule & 5-10 minutes after I get there my supervisor says the session was not happening & won’t happen any Friday. I let her know it’s on my schedule & it’s not my fault for showing up because no one had told me either through text, on my online schedule or verbally ahead of time, should I still be paid? I’d also like to add the office manager texted me that Friday morning & didn’t let me know about the changes.

How do I go about telling other Managers to do their work or make their own decisions? I’m a manager but keep getting a million questions and some being pretty self explanatory / junior level questions and just don’t have the time

Hi community, humbly seeking professional HR advice. I recently joined my company’s HR team. In an informal conversation, a senior HRBP, considered a peer, called 2 of our fellow HR colleagues “worthless.” I should have rebuked her then & there but was so caught off guard. This person is 20 years my senior. In the same conversation this person advocated for me on a separate matter & complimented my performance. I am not sure what course of action to take at this time. Distraught & unsure.

How can I get my *micro* manager off my back? I know I haven’t been doing the best work this quarter, but emailing me all damn day isn’t going to help me do better, I do know that.

The hostility on my team is rough. We have a yeller. I walked by her room the other day. She was screaming across the room at a student, "you have to be kind to get kindness." Seriously, those were her words in a loud, berating, angry tone. Our admin has asked that we not report these. We are to talk to the teacher. She has yelled at me and other adults. Admin has to know she treats the kids this way too. One teacher has to work with her door closed to not hear the yelling all day.

The old administrator at my department won't allow me to write on what I want, even though I thought that was implicit when I joined. Can I push her to allow me to take control of my research?

I’m a midlevel at an AmLaw 20 firm and have twice been the principal drafter of something only to be cut from the signature block. The associate senior to me is on it despite having done far less of the work. And it’s not because it required a rewrite or something. The filed product is 80-90% my work. Am I wrong to be pissed off about this?

Any advice on how to tastefully tell your manager that you no longer want to be a charge nurse anymore? For us being in charge is having full assignment 3p-7p & being responsible for assigning pts , communicating w/ supervisor about various issues, making the assignment for next shift, and a mini report about each pt for the next charge. On the weekends, same responsibilities but 7a-7p. We don't get any additional pay for being in charge and I'm sick of the added responsibility and stress of it.
