Started interview process and got selected.
New HR called and stated that their budget is not matching to my expctn And asked me to wait for few days. I waited holding on to another offer and these HRs stopped answering my calls and ignored.

The way firms throw wads of cash at attempts to impress associates then nickel and dime us on the small stuff makes no sense. Millions being spent on our upcoming retreat (which I'd rather not attend in the first place, but the constant messaging of "how much we're investing in this" and other pressures made me cave), but I have to pony up the difference between an aisle seat and a window seat to get there.
