I started to save more $, converted some equities into cash, and spend some of my nights and weekends applying to other jobs. For a while, I felt paralyzed and super stressed out, but have worked on focusing that energy to be more productive.
It sucks that gyms are closed because the gym is my refuge.
Try focus on things within your control and spend less time worrying! It’s easy to say but hard to do. I’m struggling too but I’m also trying to focus more on my wellbeing in general like my health

Thanks everyone! And especially to those that shared they are experiencing the same... it helps to know I am not alone especially given how competitive we all are, sometimes vulnerability feels like failure. In the last 50 mins that I posted this, I decided to have a long chat with a friend who quoted a post from HONY that 'even if we are all alone, we are in it together too'. I thought I was just screaming in the void, but good to know the void cared enough to reply. I will bounce back. Soon. Hopefully.
You’ll be fine! Remember that this is just a page in a book of your life. Keep your head up and have a good weekend, OP!
Hang in there.

Ditto.
I am in a similar situation with the only change that I am in my parents' house. Is there any chance you can go be with someone during this pandemic? I am dividing my time between job searching and study opportunities in the country I was supposed to move to. Also being sure to stay in touch with friends.
It’s sounds like you might get benefit from talking to a professional counselor. Have you tried?
Yes I think I am going to look for one in the next few days. Thanks for reminding me.
In March, when COVID was starting, my SO was almost laid off and my parent moved in with us to our tiny apartment after having surgery. 1 month ago, I found out I was going to be laid off one day and that I was pregnant the day after. Fast forward to last week - I accepted a job offer and am leaving on my own terms. It was a hell of a rough month, but I’m on the other side. Focus on the things you can control - start there. Feel your sadness and then snap out of it and do something actionable to improve your situation. Times are tough, but we are all in this together and will get through.
And you did it!
