I took 14 years off from the legal field to raise kids and then was a tutor for kids in the school system. I want to get back into law. Especially at the government level. Would love to be a prosecutor. I am 56. What do you all think? Go for it or no?

If you're good with the salary/benefits/time commitment, I say go for it. Clerk or staff attorney might be a softer more manageable re-entry

like

Go for it but I suspect it'll be hard. Depends on area/need.

Thanks! Would it be crazy to go back as a judicial clerk to get experience? Not federal clerk, of course, but at the county level?

Right in the thick of child raising now and exactly 14 years junior to you! Would love to know how this works out for you!

Thanks! Will let you know

Some companies have parent / caregiver re-entry programs for people who were out of the workplace. Maybe something else to investigate.

like

It’s totally possible. Check out the OnRamp Fellowship by Diversity Lab and other returnship programs.

Also consider volunteering or part-time work at a prosecutor’s office. You can get hired after working and developing networks there.

Hello, I am in USI GES tax at DUSI. I love my job but not my team and mgmt anymore. I'm a performer and I'm dumped with work of 2 ppl while others are searching for work. I am burned out.

I resigned and accepted a job with EY GDS with a huge pay bump that DUSI can't match but I also gave up my potential promotion for 2023.

I've been feeling bad about putting my papers down and letting go off my promotion but I am really tired. I took up this job as an escape.

Did i do the right thing?

I started interviewing early Oct with a company that reached out via recruiter. The hiring manager was very straight forward with me that I was his top candidate and I was told all other interviews were very positive incl CMO. The recruiter said they'd be making an offer but it's now been three weeks. Anyone else had the process drag on like this? Meanwhile I'm taking other interviews and was offered a promotion at current company, but was very interested in this one. What would you do?

Tips for 6-month eval? Originally hired at 35K as assistant and was told if I performed well, I could expect to make 50K after a year. After one week, the operations manager resigned and I took over as a trial. Officially am operations manager, but no title (only verbal) and no raise. Owner likes benefits over big pay raises. Thinking about asking for 46K, new cellphone and official title change. I'm expecting some negotiating, which I've never done. 24F, AA Bus Admin, and overall good employee

Recently, the CEO and my boss, the VP gave me the latitude to promote myself and "write my own" job description. I've been the Marketing Manager of this company for about 7 months. Already received 1 raise.

Much of the work in my "new" job description, I've already been doing. My currently salary is $70K. New title is Director of Communications and Systems Integration. What is a reasonable salary increase here.

I have about 7 years experience in this area.

Do you see any risk of offer cancellation/revocation here?

Is it worth rejecting TCS, for 10% more package from birlasoft.

TCS better on:

Birlasoft better on:
