Go for it—having done it both ways, I say enlist for reserves and go officer for active duty.
I just got out. I generally recommend the military as aforementioned especially certain rates (jobs), or just being an officer. Especially for the short term. However, if you genuinely like your career and don’t see yourself committing to the military long-term, personally I don’t think it’s worth it. I’m sure you’d be able to build yourself up if you decided to get out after 4-8 years or however long you might decide. If you want a more in depth conversation let me know! Best of luck
Honestly, military reserve is a good option.
