I was given a SQL take home prompt which is actually getting tough. It’s asking me to have different column names for current and previous IDs and having to show the output for the last 4 engineer hires for each of 4 companies (16 hires) with their past job info. How does one select this in SQL? Do you use CASE WHEN or UNION or something else? Getting stumped and can’t find relevant info online. For analytics position. Any recommendations?

So, I just fired my first employee as a manager and I'm heartbroken. He was a great, great person but after 6 months on a PIP he just wasn't cutting it skills-wise. I know he was the provider of the household and his wife didn't have a job since she was raising three young ones. Needless to say, I had to take off because I felt terrible, sick to my stomach. How do you deal with firing guilt? Is that a thing? I can't help but feeling like I did something wrong.
