McKinsey & Company I received an offer from McKinsey & Company in 2021 and I’ll be starting later this year after graduation. Obviously because of the pandemic, inflation is slowly trending upwards. Has anyone asked for a base salary increase before even starting the job? Any advice on how to approach this?

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Smaller firms can be treacherous with toxic employees who are not monitored by an HR department or a watchful attorney. I have worked at a couple of small firms and know exactly what you are going through. I eventually made the move to an in-house position at a large company and have been there for nearly six years. My attorneys are fabulous, and so is the HR department. There are still a few problematic people, but not nearly at the level you've dealt with. Do try for a larger firm or a company with a competent HR department. I wish you all the best.
I'm sorry that happened to you. Always pay attention to your "surroundings" (pay attention to words and body language). I make mistakes and have to tell myself to slow down and pay attention to details. Be thankful that you no longer have to work with the 2 women and the attorney who let you go. Good luck.
Vindictive and insecure....that's those 2 employees.
