Paypal Hello, I've been offered Data engineer /Software Engineer at PayPal, india.
How's the company doing, is it profitable? Bit skeptical about the recent layoffs at PayPal.
Any data engineers at PayPal around? Whats your thoughts, how's the team doing and how would be the growth?

Only one way to find out…
Exactly. There's no harm in trying. Plus I really don't think this is going to affect your chances too much. Especially if your PTSD is unrelated to your job.
Chances are good as long as you are upfront and honest. It also won’t hurt to have an endorsement by any therapist who has treated your PTS. Do you have any use of force or other conduct complaints to this point? I’m going to assume you do not. That being said, be honest, commit to ongoing treatment, and ensure you can prove that you are otherwise of good character. If the cause of your PTS did not stem from a violent, person on person crime, that also works in your favour.
I don’t believe you taking a psychological evaluation will impact your chances for employment. If you are under the care of a therapist, your emotions are controlled with medication and you have no prior incidents of aggression, you should be good. Employers are not allowed to discriminate against you due to conditions such as PTSD. But unofficially, they can. Remember, there is nothing stating you are obligated to disclose your medical history and/or conditions to a potential employer. Just my food for thought. Good luck in pursuing your employment.
Good luck.
I think you will be fine as long as you're upfront and honest.
It sounds like you have all the necessary qualifications for the job and have been doing an admirable job as an armed security guard. The fact that you've been taking medication for anxiety stemming from a traumatic event in the past is understandable and doesn't have to be a deciding factor in your application. I'm sure that with your experience and clean record, you have a good chance of passing the psych testing.
I myself have PTSD from military. I have been in law enforcement for over 20 years. Never had a problem passing the physic exam. I believe you will be fine. Good luck on your exam keep positive.
Doesn't matter , most cops that have been on the job a few years have anxiety and PTSD themselves...
Don't think they can ask that anyway , medical information is considered confidential.
