Calories in minus calories burned equals caloric deficit which is weight loss. Eating more protein with all other macros the same only works if you are working out and building muscle. More muscle will increase the calories you burn at rest (BMR) and thus no change to intake you will start losing weight but only if you’ve increased BMR though increase in muscle mass. If you only do what you propose which is increase protein and leave all other macros the same then you will gain weight (if your activity also will remain same). Sucks they don’t teach this stuff in B school 🙈.
I agree with the person above. You defintiely want to make sure you are getting the right macros because increasing protein may not necessarily lead to weight los. The most important thing is to be eating in a calorie defecit.
