Compgauge has all of these in the top 11 for their best companies for tech sales rankings (ranked 8, 9, and 11 respectively). They all look to pay roughly the same ($300k+) per compgauge...
Background: Currently an enterprise AE, 12 years experience. Want to break into Big 3 cloud providers.
Is one of these 3 the clear cut best option for AE’s? Would be happy with any tbh.
Got an offer for a sales applications manager role at Cisco and a Strategic AE role at Amazon - both are basically the same pay (130~ base, 220 OTE)
I don’t have any friends at either company so I was curious if anyone has experience and can shed some light on culture/ work life balance to help me make a decision? Thanks for the help guys!

You can ask but there might be a few issues when it comes to taxes, health care options, etc. Unless they have offices in Canada and are willing to work with you on that, it might not be feasible.
When i look on Glassdoor some say “remote USA” and some just say “remote” so i wonder if the ones that just say remote are open to hiring from Canada. Most I’ve seen have at least one office in Canada
You might get away with contracting with an agency
Depends on the company. If they are a global organization, you should be all set, but they may pay based on your geo location.

Yes you can, but you’ll be consider a “contract” employee. There are a lot of pros and cons. I know a lot of Canadians who do that because pay is way higher and in USD and you can work from anywhere.
That’s such good info to know! Thanks so much for the replies. I’ve worked for myself for the past few years so I’ve learnt how to make sure not to spend all my money and save for taxes so i guess im already ahead lol
