Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

You should’ve proactively asked for it. Email your recruiter and ask for the email contacts.
Fair enough. Thank you both.
I’ve interviews my fair share of candidates recently and I’m surprised by the lack of thank you notes. This won’t make or break a hiring decision but it definitely doesn’t hurt.
I’ve noticed the same thing with candidates I interview although I think it makes sense. To me, it just feels a bit archaic. If someone makes a genuine effort to connect with me and shows sincere interest/gratitude, a thank you note often just feels like ass kissing.
I don’t usually send them. It’s a mutual benefit for both parties . Where’s mine?
Kinda how I look at it too. I’ve already expressed sincere interest and gratitude for the consideration. Why should I need to say it again? I meant it the first time.
If it’s just because it’s polite/considerate/respectful, then employers should send thank you notes too. This is supposed to be a mutually beneficial and thus mutually respectful relationship.
I definitely notice candidates who do and don't send me thank you notes. I even ask if they have my contact info and many still don't send.
I am starting a few processes today and this is good to hear. I will get the email addresses and send thank you notes for sure.
