All I can say is WOW. Pretty serious offense, regardless of magnitude. Not sure OP seems remorseful enough or has grasped the magnitude if s/he is asking about "if the firm will forget in a bit". Nuts.
HR makes a check for any prior violations. I've ensured that they are especially diligent as it appears there's someone trying to bluff their way into a rehire. I've reached out to a couple of colleagues in non-Partnership firms and alerted them to this. They're following up with their HR.
Someone got fired and now they're trying to falsify their way back in. Speaks to integrity, fidelity and voracity. I don't want someone with a compromised ethical compass in a firm that I'm an owner of. It's that simple.
I assume this will be carried over to the next job interview...people talk, even HR from diff firms

A7 - show me a policy number and I will stand corrected. Strip clubs are not out of policy. I've taken a client there, I've also taken counts for bottle service at a Vegas club. Perhaps it's a geo-specific thing?
OP, how was your performance prior to this call? Were you a top performer? Average? Below average and on a performance improvement plan?
A while back ago, i didnt realize submitting twice for my phone expense for the same month. reimbursement still came through even though i requested to decline the expense.
I refunded the expense and explaining what's going on. I think when you refund your expense not because you get caught does make a difference. it's like when your bf/gf cheats on you, but they own it up and say sorry before you catch them red handed does make a difference, doesn't it?
