I had my interview with Cognizant last month. HR round and salary discussion was completed on 27th September. The HR said offer letter would be released within 2weeks. Now it's already 2weeks. But I didn't hear back from the HR. What shall I do?Accenture Accenture India Tata Consultancy Capgemini

I wouldn’t try too, whether I was laid off or fired, I’d admit I was laid off due to cost cutting measures set by the firm since the pipeline wasn’t great. Any other reason would only fly if the hiring manager is just daft OR if you had an amazing relocation story (had to move to X city immediately due to a family members illness and the firm wasn’t allowing it). Other than that exception, no one quits without lining up another gig first. Atleast by saying lay off, it makes the hiring folks to stop guessing why you’re jobless.
People quit jobs all the time without something lined up. Take the time to decompress, re-evaluate career path, etc. Its actually pretty common practice and healthy. I'm about a month away from getting my puppy and taking a month off.
Left to take a break and pursue other interests
Person gotta eat right? You think they are going to be put off cause you did some temp jobs?
Tell them the company sucked and your boss was a jerk.
I told people that my old companys strategy had shifted from when i joined and that what i originally joined to do was no longer their goal.
I then told people that i had been offered the opportunity to shift but i chose to exit to pursue my interests
Just be honest
I left D to take care of a sick parent without anything lined up. I have been out for a couple months and have interviewed at multiple places in the past couple weeks, it hasn't been brought up once. Different situation than being let go, but just have an honest answer ready to go and I think you will be fine.
