Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

Coach
I think you take the offer if it’s a good fit. If you’re not into selling work the extra comp of PPMD either won’t happen or you’ll be miserable doing it
Thank you for the advice.
Staying SM in the long term is risky. At some point, the firm will decide to cut ties because you’ve been SM for too long and aren’t moving up. If you already know that partner isn’t for you, it will be better for you to switch to industry as early as you can.
Good point...thanks!
Also have to consider bonus/incentive comp which is probably much better at the Corp VP job. If you are not much for selling I think signs are pointing toward taking the job.
RSM1, I finally got the total comp: 190k plus eligible for 20% annual bonus. All together that would be about a 30% increase over EY pay and performance bonus for Manager. I'm going to make the jump.
May I ask what you currently specialize now that got you the offer? I find it very hard without provision experience.
