I’m a RN, been in nursing for 38 years and I am ready to learn something new. Can someone please tell me what steps to take? I’m not currently a coder but I think I have to do the coding first and then branch off into CDI? Please help any advice is appreciated.

I would say yes. As an RN, CDI would be a great way to go so starting a coding training program (certificate) would be a great start. You posted 8 weeks ago so not sure if you’ve already initiated something. A lot of companies are looking for RN CDI specialists.

Hi. I’m in need of advice and encouragement. I’m currently working as a public defender(2nd year) but I would love to pursue a solo private practice. I would like to leave the public defender because I am ready to make more money and I am no longer feeling the fulfillment I once felt. I have a family and work-life balance is a priority. What is a good way to gain experience in other areas of law as a solo practitioner? What areas of law are best for maintaining a work-life balance?

Looking for suggestions on qualifications I should pursue.

I'm a Junior Project Manager, pivoting myself into the consulting industry. I have a Business Analysis Foundation certificate and considering pursuing Prince 2 Foundation and Practitioner.

Is Prince 2 worth it for my long term goals? And how valuable is it? Is there other qualifications worth pursuing e.g. Prince 2 Agile?

Does anybody have a resource available for pricing and billing? I am 2 years out of law school, working as a corporate attorney, and wanting to go solo. Ideally, I will take my corporate client with me, but am working to build work on the side during the transition. Also, do you have any recommendations for document preparation? I would like to draft wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents, but would like a resource that has boilerplate provisions to utilize as a reference.

I spent a year in tax investigations where I believe I was thriving ( I was going to be an assistant manager in July 2023), I had a lot of assistant manager jobs, I even drafted a Code 9 report to HMRC which my manager said was 80% of an actual report, he then added the 20% and submitted it.
After I realised I couldn't maintain all the unpaid overtime I was working I decided to take a turn and go to compliance, so now I work in CT compliance. I feel very surpressed.

Hi! I got my CPC in January 2021 and was able to find a job as a “Billing Associate,” and although I use my CPC it wasn’t required.
I make just under 24/hour, Denver, CO. It’s been hard for me to find something that pays well, cost of living being so high.

Ive been a cpc working on orthopedic surgeries for 2 years. I'm good at my job but have so much to learn. I work on-site with a great boss making $18. I got a remote offer from a hospital to do profee coding for $22. I'm scared of leaving this comfy position (no quotas, great boss, easy to ask for help) to go to the unknown. Any insight or words of wisdom to help me with this decision?

Is it fairly smooth to transition to CDI without inpatient coding experience? I have my RHIA but have been apprehensive to get into CDI. I feel like I have transferable skills from my background in profee coding, coding educator and having payor side experience. Is it necessary to get IP coding experience or just jump ship for the challenge?
