Hey this is irrelevant- check out Phu Quoc island- much better place to live than busy & noisy Saigon city. I lived on Phu Quoc island for 3 months, there is a big group of expats working in hospitality you can easily make friends with.
PQ is lovely, but I still need to work and learn from someone.

I’m not an Aussie or Kiwi but given how we’re all currently remote, have you thought about hitting up AUS and NZ agencies for the time being? I know that isn’t your ultimate endgame but it’s English and similar work hours to where you’re currently located.
I imagine the work visa situation complicates things

SAD1 (hehe) is giving the right advice. It’s gonna be hard to get some CD or recruiter to stick their neck out for a junior who won’t be in the country for another year. I’m not usually an ad school guy, but some online courses where you pair up with an AD and make stuff - that’ll increase your odds.
I’m not trying to tell a young creative to abandon hope, but damn, there are so many hurdles for juniors who are already here.
SEA? That has a few locations.
Where though? I may have some contacts in Asia
Work late and deliver yourself a good portfolio. You won't get work without one.
You gotta find someone you're comfortable showing it to, because critiques are how you improve.
You need a mentor, or portfolio school.
Only if I could. Look, i know your goals is to be able to pay the bills and move back to your country . But my honest feedback is nobody will without a solid book. It’s a lot of trouble legally to hire someone that they don’t know if will be useful. You say you can work hard but that’s your word. You really need to convince people of that.
My advice is to drop your book in a separate thread here and ask for honest feedback. Work on the feedback/repeat. That will show that you actually work hard and can take directions.
If you work on stuff all night like you say you are but withou someone to critique, and give directions you will just shuffle and accomplish nothing like you said you are.
You said by 2022 you need to be able to come back. So there you have it. Roughly a year to do your book. It’s time enough. I went from not having a book to a job at WK in a year thanks to portfolio school and feedback from the right people.
