That seems to be the nature of the job market right now.
I have heard alot of people applying for jobs and never hearing anything back. Or are getting an automated rejection email within a couple hours of applying.
Yep, I had interviews for 3 companies. 2 of the companies ghosted me. The HR director who interviewed me expressly stated during the interview he’d follow up with me to provide updates.
Trust me has been the same with me. 500 resumes sent out and Noone wants to pay either. Don't know how companies think its ok for a single petosn to live off 50,000 when the cost of living in though the roof. Between assumes test that aren't even related to the job, to phone interview that do nowhere, to I had a company that wanted me to do a video with answers to their questions. You aren't the only one but on the other hand the companies need to stop saying they are understaffed and cant find people. Start looking at who is hiring and what you are paying. Stop expecting that bachelor degree for a job that clearly you don't need one for... I just always would like to know when companies will also be held accountable for the way they treat their employees as this is something that also needs to be addressed. If we end up w health problems due to a job, why do we need to take steps to fix it why aren't the companies doing something about it??
I got laid off in February from my job that I really loved and I had been there for two years, but they restructure the company and laid off 25% of it. I was out of work for a month and got a contract to hire position that was supposed to last 2 to 4 months. I was there for three months and I asked if they were going to hire me full-time and my trainee said they’re working out the numbers to see if that’s possible. I found what I thought was a good gig full-time position, a manager that was amazing and people I actually enjoyed working with. I was there a month and they had a company wide layoff so now I’m looking again and noticing that the jobs are low pain, multiple positions in one and multiple interviews. You can have the perfect résumé, absolute best skills and you still won’t get the job. My advice, even though it’s not perfect as maybe stay where you’re at, and just do the best to survive for now
Please send me and Embusy a work permit for visa assurance.Thanks.
Here is another. This is about toxic workplaces:

Don’t you think that looking for a new job just five months in sends the wrong message? How are you framing why you’re looking to leave?
I have been there. I experienced a bait and switch where they hired me to fill in for maternity leave. I was only there 10 months and it was so toxic I got physically ill. Keep looking. You will find something. A lot of employers seem to understand if it is phrased correctly. Have an answer rehearsed as to your reasons for leaving, short and sweet without bashing current company and pivot to how you can help the new company. There are many bad jobs out there. I am currently in one now but it is not toxic like the one I left.

Best way in is through a referral or connecting with someone within the company. I also find I have much better results using a recruiter. Recruiters do all the heavy lifting for you, act as your advocate with the company, the company pays their commission, and they work with all levels of accountants. Not all recruiters are created equal, so you have to find one that really works for you. Recruiters are good at smoothing over gaps and short term jobs on your resume with the potential employer.
I went through the same thing with my company. It was bad. I tried job hunting while I was working, was a horrible experience so I had to quit. Now I have had over 20 interviews in three weeks and I am just waiting for the right one. I have my third interview with one company tomorrow. It just take a little bit for the right one to come along, don't give up.
Sometimes you need to just walk away from a toxic environment. I went to a company once that had a “Hand-Over” directory on the server. I was number 17 on the list ! The list covered four years ! I was told I wasn’t meant to see that.
You need to adapt and be prepared for anything.
You can consider working freelance as a sub-contractor for a period of say three months and see how you get on.
Thanks. As each door closes, another opens up.
I never get any follow-up from interviews, but I will always follow-up actively by myself. usually get ghosted either the company aren't actively hiring or most likely they have found another candidate better fit for the role and it is hard for them to say no to you. also, I am curious about what type of behavior of the owner to make you feel unbearable?
The owner has cussed me out (over Google maps taking them to the wrong location), listens to our conversations through security footage and more. It’s an overall extremely toxic work environment.
Ditto on the interviews and ghosting as you say.
