I’m at a point where I’ve given up on getting a FT offer (been freelance for a while), and starting to seriously get back into the job search world. I really do love advertising, and would love to work in this industry, but between all the news about acquisitions/layoffs, no entry-level positions open, and everyone saying the industry is dying, is it worth it? Do I keep fighting, or get out now?

Not sure what industry to go brand-side, which is my biggest hesitation. Don’t want to trap myself.

Got laid off today. Ironicly is I have been looking for a new job for over a year. I guess it's good that I no longer work in a toxic environment & no longer for a criminal. Heartburn from anxiety.

Constantly worried I’m going to get fired because I don’t know where I stand at my mid sized law firm (second year associate).

So someone I know asked HR about a boot policy. When he found out that there wasn’t one, but his boss said there was (who gave the guys $ for boots and the claimed it on his expense reimbursements as something else) the boss got mad at him for askingHR (and in trouble for the expense reimbursements) and then 2 days later laid off my friend. There appears to be no notice of bad performance and this person always was the first person on the job site ready to work. Thoughts?

Have an interview with a company I really want to work for tomorrow. My last job I was laid off b/c of an acquisition&recently accepted a job at a diff company b/c I couldnt afford not to.
