I'm at my wit's end with a few parents who atp almost refuse to work with their children on homework after school. I had two DIFFERENT students tell me today their parent's told them to get help at school instead of asking questions. We're working on dividing fractions and percents, and I feel like I'm losing the students who don't have adequate support outside of class. What should I do?

🐠- My parents have been trying to get B-1 visa appointment for few months to visit me to extend support during/after child birth. They originally were able to schedul for Oct but it was recently canceled by the counslate. The current earliest date is in March. Any suggestions on options to expedite appointment scheduling?

What’s your opinion on math homework? I teach 4th grade and have always given it but I’d like to see what others do and weigh out if it’s really worth it. If I give it, I feel like I should spend class time going over it but on the other hand I stress myself out trying to keep the absent work organized and those that don’t even do the work.

What have you found to be good ways to help bridge gaps left from time out of class due to Covid? I teach 6th grade. We use iReady but feel like there are other sources I could use that would help fill in learning gaps.
