Generally, it’s a good place to be. Definitely the biggest in Austin with the widest client roster with some top tier brands to work on. There are some good pockets of mentorship within the creative department, but I couldn’t promise you would get it consistently across the board. The work is solid with some award-winning and portfolio-building opportunities. But like any agency, sometimes we need to get the work done that is needed to drive the client’s business.
I’ve been at the agency for a few years and will say the best way to experience it is in person, in Austin. The agency has a very strong culture with some really awesome people you get to work with. Very few a$$holes in the building, if any these days. I say that as an industry vet who has been around the block at other shops across the country and this place really is special when it comes to culture.
We are currently doing in-office 3 days a week that has been met with varying levels of enthusiasm. I think the agency is just testing out some options to see what it does for morale, productivity and culture. From there, we will probably change some things up over time to get to the “new normal” operating rhythm that works best for our agency. There have been many vocal people bashing this on Fishbowl. But really, it’s not that bad. You’d need to decide for yourself what environment works for you. Just know that’s the current plan in place.
If you decide to apply, Zach Peters will be the recruiter you should reach out to. Best of luck!!
That recruiter scheduled three different calls with me and canceled every single one, tried to reschedule a fourth and I just didn’t reply. Very inconsiderate of at least my time and not a good look for the agency.

Love that places like Wieden are letting people work remotely but GSD&M is still demanding 3 days a week in the office.
Trust.
Good: nice people
Bad: super white and super Texas (part A due to part B)
