I’m currently a business systems analyst but not very tech focused (mainly functional, PMO, agile type work). I’m not sure where to take my career next and looking for new ideas. I have the opportunity to take a couple courses to gain certs (AWS Cloud Practitioner and a beginner Python course). Is their a career path where I could utilize knowledge learned from both or would they be viewed as unrelated? If there is a path, any ideas and/or additional courses you recommend?

To add, I’m sort of in a career rut and hoping to gain some new skills to be more competitive in the job market. Ideally, I’d like to not start from scratch (entry level position) as I have several years under my belt already. Just hoping to enhance my current career or possibly make a natural pivot to something without a significant decrease in pay. Any advice is appreciated!

Product manager?

Following as I'm in same boat. (Bowl?) Functional BA with insurance industry certs as well as PSM and PSPO and ProSci on tap. I've debated sql/tableau as well as returning to the PMP (post Reorg I left PMP path for scrum certs... I have the hours just need to study and sit exam).

I graduated in May of 22. I transitioned from being an intern to being a full time counselor, now for 6 months. I felt like I was lowballed during my offer, and my negotiation salary was denied since this is technically my first “professional” job. Pt 2 in comments:

First time poster here!

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

I'm testing SPHR in June. Any advice for securing the type of role I'm aiming for?

Any recommended resources for a mid-level lit associate looking to develop some skills in health care transactional work? For now, I'm just looking for good basic foundational resources.

Appreciate it!
