I'm currently a veterinary nurse with over 7 years of experience. Getting a government job has always been an interest of mine, but I wanted to get some more insight if possible. I’m particularly interested in working for the CDC dealing with zoonotic diseases/public health. Were you able to get a job with the government right out of vet school, or did you need to have additional experience/schooling to be competitive enough?

If I got a manager for employment claims’ position is it hard to pivot to an associate counsel role etc? What do you think the main difference between the two are? Is it a good position for a stepping stone to in house counsel?

What are different roles in LTI. I have got offer as P4 .May I know other roles from P4 onwards.

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

Thoughts on “special” salary grades. I just found out the VP I was offered is not a grade 12 like most comparable roles (verified). Also not an 11, but an 11A. Slightly higher than an 11, a good bit lower than a 12. All due to the fact that it’s a leap from my current position. Why should that matter…..shouldn’t it pay what it should pay if I am selected, rather that curving down towards my current rate?

Having an animal friend with cancer is not something easy. This year I have already had 24 animals that went to sleep in order to stop suffering. This is not easy for their families at all. It seems to me that the cancer stats in domestic animals are increasing, is this just me?
