I’m ex Deloitte and just received a lovely pension notice, advising that the previously abysmal interest rate credit of 3.8% will now be EVEN LOWER as they will be reverting to a new calculation without any rate floor. I suppose Deloitte will claim this is to mitigate their interest rate risk in a continuing low rate environment. But with massive market returns during said low rate environment, where is the widening delta going? To maintain higher credits in the partners’ pension plan perhaps?

I would like to hit fire between 40-50. Currently 27, 185k total comp (125 for me and 60 for partner). Like my job don’t hate it don’t love it. Does an MBA make sense? I provided all the neccesary documents to back up my request and letters and documents from my Dr. aswell. My request was denied because the team said they wanted me to have face time and one on one interactions with people from other team (which defeats the purpose of my request) because I have to limit those interactions to reduce the risk of infection.
