what do you think makes you so different?
In my experience, working with a creative partner who brings a different perspective can lead to some of the best ideas. However, if my partner doesn't understand what a good idea is and argues just for the sake of it, well this can really strain the relationship and make working together seriously difficult.

I’m always on the bench if you need help.
Again, been in your shoes more than once. Suggest, spend time together, you blab on, make connections, build empathy, wear them down. Worked for me. Those stiff partners of mine now? We've been best friends for thirty to forty years. Plus, eventually, we rolled on the floors laughing together, in some of the most ritzy buildings in Chicago. And, we pulled off some -- wild wacky unbelievable sh..(stuff). Put the MAD MEN to shame.
I worked with a partner for about 4 years and it never felt we were on the same page with anything. We had drastically different interests and even personalities. It was something we’d joke about.
We didn’t dislike each other, but we also never, ever hung out outside of work.
Once we split up and I went freelance I realized I was swimming against the current the entire time, unnecessarily.
That’s all to say, just because your partner is your partner doesn’t mean they are the right partner. It’s okay to split up and you might even do better work and feel less stressed.
