I'm in SF for the weekend, my home base is NYC, and the client wants me to be in Boston on Monday. Can I buy and expense two one-ways (SF-BOS, BOS-NYC)?

Doesn’t change anything.

Great - thank you!

What I’ve always been told / seen is whatever it would cost you to get to the client from home (eg nyc to Boston) you can use that towards your travel from sf to Boston. The return from Boston to nyc is absolutely expensable as you’d have that no matter what

Yes

Why wouldn’t you be able to?

Of course. I can’t imagine a firm policy that wouldn’t let you. I’d also bill them the change fee from my original return flight.

To clarify, I am in SF for personal purposes (I'm here visiting some family).

I started working in a agency two months ago, and I have two very big projects running simultaneously. My Creative Director left for paternity leave, and left me with all the work, facing the client, going to shootings, editing. I've been working 15 days straight, no weekends. The agency hasn't given me any back up/someone I can team up with to do the job. Is this normal? I'm used to have a partner, a copywriter or another creative working alongside. Keep in mind that I'm mid-level.
